CTL Academy 2023-24 as ‘GREAT’

To become GREAT we need a collective mindset. As senior coach I have compiled a collection of readings to help build this common mantra. Below is a set of links to check out and come August we will have a launch plan! Keep in mind CTL Academy is building on our past themes of UBUNTU and VUCA. With these as are our foundation we are moving towards GREAT.

Action:

In order to prepare for a GREAT year it is important to practice what we preach and develop a few of our own models of learning. Your mission is to take one of the options below and develop an end product to share with your colleagues and learners for next year. You may also choose to do one of your own projects to have a model for your students.

The outcome will be to share your video of your learning/product from this activity on 8August in our summer professional development or when you can. Please share a link in the comments to share your what you have learned.

Khan Academy Breakthrough Challenge:	Create a 2 minute explainer video for a challenging concept as it relates to physics, math, life science or history of humankind. Jacob’s PACTful Innovation Teen Challenge	Identify a problem to address in relation to the UN sustainable goals and develop a solution.	Here is a link to learn more about the specifics and to be inspired about what some teams achieved.	PACTful Learning Competencies
Global Social Leaders (GSL)	Similar to the PACT- GSL also provides opportunities for students to engage in developing solutions to the UN sustainable goals.	Beginning in 2023-24 CTL is partnering with GSL to support students to engage in making an impact in our local and global communities.
