CTL Global Week Long PD Plan

22-26July- online delivery modeling the learner experience of CTL Global

Big Picture

CTL Global in partnership with Soccer IQ Institute will be delivering the academic program to learners virtually. Daily there will be 2 hour synchronous sessions with work in between. The learning will be a mix of project based and mastery focus with elements connecting to the UN Sustainable Goals and interdisciplinary as much as possible.

Teachers will meet for a 2 hour synchronous session led by Dr. Mara Simmons and then will have time to prepare for the following day. This model called Flipped Learning requires that learners engage with the material ahead of coming to class.

PD Session Goals

Inspire and excite teachers to embrace this new approach to teaching and learning. Students are at the CENTER.

By the end of the week teachers will:

  2. Begin the journey to towards a student-centered approach to teaching.
  3. Embrace AI and its role for teachers and students
  4. Frame challenges to engage and interest learners tapping into intrinsic motivation.
  5. Plan together the learning experiences taking into account the whole child and not just a subject perspective
